Former reward analyst. Now a senior associate - Human capital

I joined Mercer as a reward analyst as part of the graduate programme in 2001 and now I’m a project manager in human capital. I’ve worked on projects involving reward, benefits, performance, talent and culture change in countries like Geneva, Lisbon, Budapest, Luxembourg, the US, Qatar and Jordan. My day to day activities might include anything from technical solution design, focus group facilitation, project plan development to creation of proposals for new business or sometimes all of the above at the same time!

I enjoy the challenge of balancing all the requirements of different clients and colleagues while making sure that I’m producing accurate, effective solutions for clients every time. I’ve developed strong relationships with clients which is really rewarding particularly when you’re able to deliver innovative technical solutions that help them solve their business issues.

It’s hard to think of one single highlight of my time at Mercer. I’m now a senior associate and I get to work with such a wide variety of clients in different industries. For example I could be in the US working with a private equity group or in Birmingham working with a housing association in the same week. The opportunity for travel and learning about different business cultures is great.

Since joining Mercer I’ve completed my Chartered Institute of Personnel Development qualification, together with a Masters in human resource management. Mercer has supported me both financially with the course fee as well as providing me with study leave to complete coursework and sit exams.
