Just as our clients and stakeholders are always given every opportunity to understand our business before they make a commitment to us, so we offer undergraduates an insight into what we do before deciding whether we’re right for them. This happens through our choice of 8 week summer internship programmes.

Eight week summer internship programme

Intern positions with Mercer are a fantastic opportunity for students in their penultimate year of study to get a taste of working for a multinational consulting firm. Each summer we offer internships across many of our UK locations in retirement, risk and finance consulting, investment consulting and outsourcing. It’s an eight week programme running from the beginning of July to the end of August. All work is supervised and you’ll be assigned a buddy to make sure you settle in quickly and to help you with day-to-day work queries.

Furthermore, this isn’t just work experience. You’ll also get a real taste of the sort of work our graduates do, and we’ll be interested in getting to know you and seeing how much you learn and develop whilst you’re with us. We’ll also make sure you receive plenty of support and get useful feedback on your performance. Successful interns may be offered a graduate role at the end of their internship.
