Retirement consultant (non actuarial)The roleRetirement consultants work with a diverse range of clients advising on the design, funding, administration and communication of all types of retirement plans and helping our clients manage a variety of benefit plan related risks. You will work as part of a team supporting more experienced consultants in driving forward the shape of future pension provisions and delivering innovative solutions to our clients, whether it be via “defined benefit” or “defined contribution” pension arrangements. Professional qualificationsRetirement consultants study towards the Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision (through the Pensions Management Institute).
The Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision is a comprehensive and in-depth qualification for retirement benefit professionals, facilitated by the Pensions Management Institute. To become an associate of the Pensions Management Institute, you need to complete nine exams and have a minimum of three years work experience. The requirementsYou’ll need a minimum of 300 UCAS points obtained in three subjects and a 2.1 honours degree in any degree discipline. Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
