To minimise your workload, the Mercer Retirement Solutions Client Service Manager oversees and co-ordinates all pension scheme activities on behalf of  you, the trustees, saving you the time and inconvenience of monitoring and liaising with multiple contacts and suppliers. The team will keep you aware of important changes in pension legislation and practice, recommending solutions as appropriate.

Scheme management includes the provision of core annual services required to run a compliant and well governed pension scheme ensuring that the trustees are discharging their duties appropriately and most importantly ensuring they continue to meet the necessary scheme governance requirements. Our services are underpinned by robust governance procedures which ensure that trustees administer their Scheme appropriately and in a way which ensures the highest standards are maintained, for the benefit of both members and the company. These include, client management, consulting services for defined benefit and hybrid schemes, life assurance and documentary support services.

Simpler administration

For simpler administration, Mercer Retirements Solutions’ technology, reliable record-keeping, transaction management and quality administration ensure a high level of servicing whether you have a complex defined benefit or a more straightforward defined contribution scheme. Our service includes; administration, accounting and treasury, pensioner payroll services and annuity broking.

Investment

The investment element of Mercer Retirement Solutions is provided by Mercer Global Investments (MGI).  This allows us to provide clients with access to a diverse range of highly-rated, specialist investment managers. This efficient investment solution enables clients to outsource day-to-day investment manager selection and monitoring responsibilities to trusted professionals while saving valuable time and resources. MGI’s multi-manager solutions combine our in-house portfolio management expertise with the depth and breadth of Mercer IC’s global highly regarded investment manager research.

Better member communications

To maximise member participation and understanding, we deliver an integrated member communications and education programme, which includes proactive and engaging communications across a wide range of channels; print, online, telephone and seminars. Our aim is to suit the varying needs of your scheme members and to encourage involvement and understanding of the advantages of the scheme. The programme includes targeted information such as newsletters and seminars. We also offer members a Help Line service and gives defined contribution members access to their personal plan information via the internet.
